The new scientific CMOS technology is a remarkable technology which represents a unique combination of high resolution, frame rate, sensitivity and dynamic. For the first time all of these parameters have been optimized within one image sensor. This results in the following extraordinary performance data:
- resolution 2560 x 2160 pixel
- quantum efficiency > 50% (front illuminated) and 90% (back illuminated)
- readout noise < 1.4 electrons @ 30 frames/s or < 3 electrons @ 100 frames/s
- dynamic > 24 000 : 1 (15 bit) @ 30 frames/s
- maximum frame rate (full frame) 100 frames/s
- pixel size 6.5 x 6.5 µm²
pco.sCMOS means all pco camera systems, for example pco.edge, which incorporate the new sCMOS image sensors.
